Organised under WP1, the Southeast Asian partner HEIs were invited to a study visit at the Universities of Siena (22-23 June) and Évora (26-27 June). This was an interesting benchmarking exercise to examine Human Resource Management (HRM) practices at European HEIs and conduct comparative self-evaluation. Some of the issues discussed during these days included ‘HRM in a Governance Perspective’; ‘Organisational Structures and HR policies’ at European HEIs; ‘Competency Model and Performance Evaluation’; and experiences on the ‘Sustainability Model and the Linkage with HRM’.
