On November 2, 2018, executive management team at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus held round table meeting to discuss further on strategic human resource management implementation. The meeting is leaded by Associate Professor Imjit Lertpongsombat, Vice President for Pattani accompanied with Vice president for academic service, Assoc. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice president for Student affair, Dr.Bordin Waelateh, Vice president for IT, Dr.Attachai Ueranantasan and another 15 delegates from executive management team for Pattani campus. The main agenda of this meeting is about drafting university strategy plan to be implemented for the next 4 years (2018 – 2022).

Ms. Nursahida Useng, Assistant to the president for human resource management and organization development, and the working group of HR4ASIA project, presented Strategic Human Resource Management plan which has been developed through several HR4ASIA workshops in the past 2 years. It has been very challenging for university since this is the very first time in 20 years that Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus has an executive position for human resource management.

The Strategic Human Resource Management plan is called “PSU People Strategy 2018 – 2022” aims to support university in preparing for the people challenges they will face in the disruption environment, and to provide a competitive advantage to the university. It contains 5 major perspectives of developing human resources  which are 1) Recruitment and Selection 2) Onboarding Process 3) Training and Development 4) Performance Management and 5) Career Planning. The SHRM plan has been discussed and reviewed by the executive management team. Provided with some suggestions, the SHRM plan is agreed by all delegates in the roundtable meeting after the completion of presentation. Ms. Nursahida Useng is assigned to lead the implementation with the supports from personnel section in university.
