Roundtable meeting on Strategic Human Resource Management plan and Development Strategy of University of Education and Technology, the University of Danang to 2025 and vision to 2035.
On April 11, 2019, University of Education and Technology, the University of Danang organized a Round table to further discuss on strategic human resource management and development strategy of the university.The meeting is led by Assoc. Prof. Phan Cao Tho, Rector of University of Education and Technology, the University of Danang with the participation of more than 20 15 delegates from related faculties and executive management team. The Rector emphasized on the target of the Rountable meeting is an effective forum to receive new ideas and comments to draft and enhance the Strategic Human Resource Management and improve the development strategy of University to be implemented until 2025 and vision to 2035. Development strategy is an important document to determine direction of the university, ensure the successful implementation of strategic goals, core values, vision and mission and promote the university development based on the current context.
At the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Trung Hung, Vice Rector of University of Education and Technology, the University of Danang, coordinator of HR4ASIA gave a brief presention on the Strategic Human Resource Management and proposal of development strategy with three main issues: the objectives of the strategy, the key tasks mind and solution, implementation organization. At the same time, the draft also gave the basic targets of the Development Strategy to 2025 and vision to 2035. Assoc. Prof. Hung also mentioned the significant role of quality of Human Resources Management (HRM) in higher education innovation and autonomy. Accordingly, HRM models need to be able to respond to new challenges such as selection, development and motivation of their staff. He briefly presented Strategic Human Resource Management plan which has been developed through several HR4ASIA workshops in the past 30 months.
Strategic Human Resource Management plan was fully agreed by participants with the purpose of increasing UD’s ranking and preparing for next development stage to provide a competitive advantage to the university. It contains the following contents 1) Renew the policy of recruitment, attraction, employment and use of talents 2) Renovate the financial policy for human resources development 3) Enhance the quality of recruitment and slection 4) Training and Development 5) Performance management and career planning.
